Our Story
We Hunt.
Then We Build.
Antler Gear wasn't born in a boardroom or a corporate lab. It was born in a treestand, at full draw, when the jacket Shane was wearing failed him at the worst possible moment.
The Problem
Shane Cloonan grew up bowhunting whitetails in Illinois — running the woods at night, hunting over bait in forest preserves, putting in the kind of hours that most people wouldn't. By 24, he'd taken some world-class whitetails with a bow and been through every "premium" hunting brand on the market. Every single one eventually failed him when conditions got real.
Delaminating shells. Insulation that went flat after one season. Jackets so loud at full draw you might as well ring a dinner bell. The industry was building gear for catalogs, not for the guy in a treestand at 5 AM in November. Shane was done buying into it.
The Answer
In 2026, instead of complaining about it, he built his own. The first Antler Gear prototype was an insulated jacket designed specifically around the bowhunter's draw cycle — silent fabric, articulated shoulders, and insulation that didn't quit in the cold. He tested it himself through an entire season before showing it to anyone.
When he finally did, the response was immediate. Hunting buddies wanted one. Then their buddies wanted one. Within months, Antler Gear went from a one-man side project to a brand with a waitlist and a mission: build the best hunting gear in America, no compromises, no shortcuts.
Shane Cloonan — Founder, Antler Gear
Made in America. Period.
From the very first product, every piece of Antler Gear has been designed, cut, and sewn in the United States. Shane made that decision on day one and it's never been up for debate. American materials, American labor, American quality. That's not a marketing line — it's a promise.
What We Believe
Our Principles
No Shortcuts
We'd rather delay a launch than ship something that doesn't meet our standard. If it can't handle a week-long backcountry hunt, it doesn't leave the building.
American Made
Our materials, our labor, our craftsmanship — all American. We believe in building things the right way, in the country we hunt in.
Bowhunter Roots
Antler Gear was built by a bowhunter for bowhunters. Every design starts with the draw cycle, the treestand, the spot-and-stalk — not the catalog.
Earned Trust
We don't do influencer campaigns or pay for reviews. Our reputation is built one hunter at a time, in the field, where it actually matters.
